Small Business Deal Advisors is elated to announce the sale of its client, PrimoHoagies of Wilkes-Barre, Edwardsville, Dickson City, Pennsylvania to local investors!
PrimoHoagies is a renowned hoagie franchise known for crafting freshly made hoagies crafted with premium ingredients, including Thumann’s meats and cheeses and freshly baked bread. The franchise’s roots trace back to its establishment in South Philadelphia in 1992. Since beginning franchising in 2002, PrimoHoagies has experienced remarkable growth, boasting over 100 locations nationwide, with a predominant presence along the East Coast.
The previous owners, Michael and Sarah DeFrancesco, acquired PrimoHoagies of Wilkes-Barre in 2017, followed by the Edwardsville location in 2020. In 2022, the couple opened two additional locations: one in Dickson City, and another in Wilkes-Barre, situated in the Arena Hub Plaza. Following the success of the four franchise locations, Michael and Sarah decided to sell the businesses in order to focus on other business ventures. They engaged Small Business Deal Advisors to assist with the sale of the Company.
Local investors Michael and Rachel Davis acquired PrimoHoagies of Dickson City, Edwardsvilles, and both Wilkes-Barre locations. Coming from entrepreneurial backgrounds, the couple possesses extensive business experience. When seeking a new business venture, they seized the opportunity to acquire the four PrimoHoagies franchises and pursued the acquisition.
As the new owners of all four locations, the couple will collaborate to run the day-to-day operations. The Wilkes-Barre Township Boulevard location is slated for relocation to Pittson, Pennsylvania, with an anticipated opening early this summer.
